IMS Ghaziabad Organized MDP on “Managing Self and Leading Others”

Ghaziabad: In line with its numerous endeavors for knowledge sharing and promoting holistic development , IMS Ghaziabad, under the vision of Director, Dr. Urvashi Makkar organized a Management Development Programme on “Managing Self and Leading Others” on June 04, 2022.

The Expert Resource Speaker for the session was Ms. Radhika Sharma, Learning Partner & Manager, L&D MetLife. The MDP elicited massive participation from reputed organizations like Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science & Technology, Govt of India; Tech Mahindra Global; Lingya Vidyapeeth; New Rainbow Public, ABES Business School; Amity University, Veranda Acacia, GNIOT, Greater Noida and many more.

Welcoming the expert speaker and delegates in the Inaugural Session, Dr. Urvashi highlighted the importance of self awareness for students, faculty and corporate professionals alike. Talking of ‘stress’ as an inevitable aspect of life in the current times, she appreciated the relevance of the theme of the MDP in terms of encouraging the delegates to contemplate, reflect and develop skills for better self management. Carrying the learnings forward, she emphasized on the importance of imbibing the vital life skill of ‘Learning Agility’ and having a future proof focus in order to quickly mould and respond as per the demands of the new challenges.

Using many examples from diverse domains, Ms. Radhika discussed the importance of Managing Self and Leading Others; Leadership & Employee Engagement; Teaming with Feeling etc. Many tools for Self Assessment based on established frameworks used in organizations were taken up by her in the interactive session. Coordinated by Dr. Parul Yadav, Prof. Sangeeta Magan, Dr. Abhishek Bhushan Singhal and Dr. Manish Diwedi, the pertinent MDP provided an interactive platform for corporate executives, academicians & research scholars towards self-discovery and self-transformation.
