International Conference on ‘Stimulating Development through Entrepreneurship’ concludes with valedictory session
Aligarh: Prof Imran Saleem (Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Buraimi, Oman) discussed how Entrepreneurial Intention (EI) is an activity based on a planned behavior.
He was delivering the keynote address in the valedictory session of ‘International Conference on Stimulating Development through Entrepreneurship’ organised by the Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
“EI through a planned behaviour means that there will always be attention toward specific business goals in order to achieve results”, said Prof Imran.
He explained how fear of failure negatively affects the EI and how it should be tackled.
Attending the session as the Chief Guest, Prof Chandrashekhar (Vice Chancellor, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University) spoke on risk-taking and consistency in efforts.
He shed light on the various initiatives of the government for promoting entrepreneurship.
Prof M Nasir Zamir Qureshi (Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Research) explained entrepreneur development as a process to help new firms and ventures get better in achieving their goals, improve business and the nation’s economy.
The Guest of Honour, Prof Mohd Mohsin Khan (Finance Officer, AMU) gave an overview on the importance of risk-taking in the entrepreneurship model and advised all the budding entrepreneurs to be consistent in efforts.
Prof Nawab Ali Khan (Chairman, Department of Commerce and Programme Convener) delivered the welcome address.
Prof Asiya Chaudhary (Organising Secretary) extended the vote of thanks and Dr Neshat Anjum conducted the programme.
