Great Learning launches “AI for Leaders” in partnership with University of Texas Austin
New Delhi: Great Learning, one of India’s professional learning companies, today announced its new program – ‘AI for Leaders’ in academic collaboration with University of Texas Austin. This three-month program is suitable for business leaders who can use the knowledge of data and AI to leverage improved capabilities in their organization’s customer interactions, operations and much more. Some of the profiles that would be a right fit for this program include product managers, directors, category managers, CXOs, delivery managers and anyone in a leadership position.
There is a 60 percent rise in demand for AI learning experts in the industry over the last 2 years. While the demand for professionals in this field is significantly high, most Indian companies feel that the shortage of skilled professionals is slowing down their adoption of AI in business. This size of this sector in India is estimated to grow up to 16 Billion $ by 2025.
This new program, introduced by Great Learning has a robust curriculum designed to enable a deep understanding of concepts in AI. The curriculum includes an introduction module, sessions on how to extract data from SQL, No-SQL, Visualizing Data – Tableau, Machine Learning, Application of Neural networks & Deep Neural Networks, case studies on Autonomous Vehicles, Image classification in Computer Vision and much more. Learners are expected to devote at least 2-3 hours every week (apart from time spent on interactive sessions) as part of this program. Additional mentoring sessions by experts and faculties from the industry will further reinforce concepts and ensure quality learning.
Speaking on the new Program introduced, Mr. Hari Krishnan Nair, Co-founder, Great Learning said, “AI is expected to add significant growth and value to the world’s economy and it will impact their customers, employees, investors, operations and product/service offerings. Organizations have begun to understand the need to integrate AI in business and our current business environment mandates that mid and senior leaders be aware of the possibilities that AI has to offer. This new program is designed to do just that and we are confident that these leaders within the industry will find it apt for their needs.”
The AI for Leaders program is inspired by the results of a survey conducted by Great Learning amongst senior professionals with over 12 years of experience across relevant industries. As per the survey, most leaders lack the necessary AI skills which companies are looking out for. Around 70% of professionals believe that AI is expected to play a significant role in their organization’s business roadmap. While 25% admitted that AI related projects are already running or being implemented in their organization, 45% said that their organizations are considering taking up AI related projects in the near future. This survey further indicated that these professionals are looking for a deep dive into AI theory and tools as opposed to just an overview of AI.
