IIT Hyderabad Ranked 10th in the NIRF Rankings 2017 by the HRD Ministry
New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad has been ranked no. 10 among all Engineering institutes as per the India Rankings 2017 conducted by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The institute has improved its rankings and scores on key parameters like Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR), Graduation Outcome (GO) and Outreach & Inclusivity (OI), as compared to last year’s rankings.
Prof. U.B. Desai, Director, IIT Hyderabad commented, “We are pleased be among the top 10 engineering institutes in the country. We are happy to see that our effort over the past one year has helped us improve our performance on certain critical parameters quite significantly. We hope to continue our efforts in the right direction and improve our rankings in the coming years.”
IIT Hyderabad scored the best in Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR), getting a score of 82.60 and improving its ranking by 3 places from 9th to 6th. Other than this, the parameter in which the institute has improved the most is Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) where it has come down to 22nd rank from 84th rank, a marked improvement from last year.
