AMU Vice Chancellor condemns Udaipur incident

Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor said that the grisly cold-blooded murder of Mr Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur has left the nation in deep shock and pain.

“It is appalling to see that some people without the understanding of basic Islamic tenents take the law in their hands, declare someone punishable and then murder him in a horrific way to disturb the communal harmony and social cohesion of the country. Neither the Country’s law nor any religion allows this brutality”, he said.

Prof Mansoor appealed to citizens to restrain emotions and maintain peace and tranquillity.

He also called for strictest possible action against the culprits in accordance with the law of the land.
