District Red Cross Society Doda discusses fund raising

DODA: District Red Cross Society Doda today held a meeting under the chairmanship of Chairman Red Cross Society, Vikas Sharma (DDC Doda).

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on various issues including measures for fund raising in the district to help the deserving and meet out any eventuality in the district.

It was decided that Donation Boxes would be provided to all District/ Sectoral officers and Bank branches in the district for fund collection. It was informed that the District Red Cross Society has already provided 36 donation boxes to the District/ Scctoral Officer and banks in for voluntary contribution towards the Red Cross. The deposits/ contribution in the Boxes is meager and it was impressed on all the District/Scctoral Officers to motivate the officials/public for voluntary contribution through Donation.

It was further decided that an extensive drive shall be held for filling up of Life member Forms for raising of funds and the volunteers in the District.

The Chairman impressed upon all the District/ Sectoral officers of the District to fill up the Life Member Forms of Red Cross Society by paying a fee of Rs. 1000/- Per form. The Life membership forms were also distributed at the meeting.

The chairman further directed the Assistant Commissioner (Rev) and CMO Doda to update and increase the volunteers in the District. Officers were asked to convene a meeting with the volunteers immediately.

The details of Red Cross funds pending with the Education Department were also sought.
