Month-long ‘Football Summer Coaching Camp’ concludes at AMU

 

Aligarh : School children burnished fundamental skills to become better sportspersons in the recently concluded month-long, ‘Football Summer Coaching Camp’ of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Football Club.

Attending the closing ceremony at the University Football Ground as the Chief Guest, AMU Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Gulrez remarked: “I am sure that the camp participants have honed the basic and advanced football skills. These children will now return to their school year with an aptitude to work in teams with problem-solving skills and self-confidence”.

“Summer sports camps keep kids active and help them brush up on skills they already know and learn new techniques”, emphasised Prof Ali Athar (President, Football Club).

Prof S Amjad Ali Rizvi (Secretary, University Games Committee) pointed out: “In this camp, school children were not only trained in football skills, but they were also taught to respect and value other participants who were improving at their own pace”.

Tufailur Rehman (University Football Coach) with Danish Mohsin and Zameer Chaudhary trained the participants in the month-long camp.

He also extended the vote of thanks in the closing ceremony.
