Ural Federal University: Ural Federal University Tops the Interfax National Ranking

The Ural Federal University has topped again the list of Ural higher educational institutions in the Interfax national ranking. The Ural Federal University is the only Ural institution of higher education that made it into the top 20, ranking 14th in Russia.

Universities were evaluated on six indicators: educational activities, research activities, social environment, cooperation, brand, innovation, and technological entrepreneurship. UrFU achieved the best results in the “Brand” parameter, ranked ninth.

The rating was published for the 13th time – 358 Russian universities were evaluated. The evaluation was based on processing data from questionnaires filled out by representatives of universities, public data that universities post on their websites, public data from information resources of the Russian Federation Ministry of Science and Education, and data from Interfax information and analytical systems – the company resource system and SCAN (reputation management system, media analysis and media monitoring).
