Ural Federal University: 200 People Interested in the Technologies of the University Plant

Employees of the UrFU Experimental Production Plant took part in the Rosmould 2022 exhibition of molds, presses, and dies. Among the presented technologies and products, they also presented a methodology for mold spillage analysis. Even at the stage of design and creation of 3D-model of mold, it enables to make preliminary estimate of correctness of creation of product model and system, through which material is poured into the mold. In addition, it makes it possible to check the possibility of applying a specific computer program for modeling the casting process of the selected product.

“During four days of the exhibition more than 200 people visited the stand of the Ural Federal University. The interest to our company was due to the fact that the Experimental Production Plant is one of the few companies in Russia that offers its customers a full production cycle – from designing to casting polymer parts,” says Roman Smirnov, Chief Designer of the UrFU Experimental Production Plant.

Specialists of the plant held many meetings with both regular partners and organizations aimed at future cooperation. As a result of the exhibition more than 20 agreements on further commercial relations were signed, including with the major players of the domestic market.
