DC Kupwara provides commercial vehicles to 98 youth under Mumkin scheme
Says administration handholding youth to earn respectable livelihood
KUPWARA : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today provided commercial vehicles under Mumkin Scheme to 98 educated unemployed youth of Kupwara district, at a function convened, here.
The function was organized by Deputy Director Employment Kupwara under Mission Youth Programme.
On the occasion, Dy. Director Employment, Shabnum Arif; Vehicle Dealers, functionaries of Employment & Counseling Centre Kupwara and a good number of youth were present.
The DC was informed that out of these 98 commercial vehicles, 57 are of Mahindra Company, 24 of Tata Motors and 17 of Ashoka Leyland.
He was informed that 479 Commercial Vehicles stands approved by the District Level Committee for current year; out of which 97 had already been distributed and 98 distributed today while the rest of the vehicles shall be distributed by the end of the current month.
On the occasion, the DC advised the beneficiaries to make the best use of these commercial vehicles and earn livelihood for themselves and their families. He said administration is committed to provide every possible support to the educated unemployed youth to earn their livelihood for which, he said various innovative schemes have been devised by the Mission Youth.
The DC further said that Mission Youth scheme is youth friendly and there is no need of any guarantor or down payment. He exhorted upon the youth of district Kupwara to come forward and take advantage of these schemes.
