Ural Federal University: University Launches New Master’s Degree Program for Chinese Students
The Chinese-Russian Institute of UrFU has launched a Master’s degree program “Designing Digital Economy Objects and Systems”, which is designed in response to economic, political, and technological challenges. The Chinese-Russian Institute, which was established several years ago to develop and implement joint network educational programs with Chinese universities, is already successfully implementing nine Bachelor’s degree programs.
The Master’s degree program has attracted great interest from Chinese students: 18 people have already applied.
“The competitive advantage of the new educational program is its interdisciplinarity. The program includes engineering, economic, digital components, training in design, critical, creative thinking; digital competencies in designing the life cycle of objects and systems,” says Sergey Knyazev, Director of Academic Affairs at UrFU.
University has extensive experience in training highly qualified specialists for the economy and industry of China. Final qualification works of students of the Chinese-Russian Institute have practical relevance, are based on the real tasks of geo-economic development of the People’s Republic of China, the authorities of municipalities of the People’s Republic of China provinces plan to use them in the future.
In 2022, students graduated from four joint programs of the Chinese-Russian Institute: “Civil Engineering”, “Geodesy and Remote Sensing”, “Heat Power and Heat Engineering”, “Water Supply and Wastewater”.
