Indian Institute of Foreign Trade inaugurated 57th Batch of its flagship MBA (IB) Programme for the academic year 2022-24
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has inaugurated 57th batch of the two-year full-time MBA (International Business) 2022-24 for Delhi and Kolkata Campus in physical mode. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Coal and Mines, Govt. of India was invited as a guest. Mr. Jain delivered the inaugural talk. He spoke about the yardsticks to measure success in a student’s life and he also touched upon the recipe to reach that success. His talk served as a motivation to all the students of the junior batch. The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Sanjay Rastogi, Head (GSMD) Delhi Campus spoke about IIFT celebrating its Diamond Jubilee this year. He also spoke about IIFT’s focus towards improving gender diversity in the upcoming batches. Dr. Jayant Kumar Seal, Head (GSMD) Kolkata Campus talked about how the admission process, placement process and faculty pool is common for both the Delhi campus and the Kolkata campus and parity is being maintained wherever possible. Prof. Manoj Pant, Vice-chancellor (IIFT) addressed the students. He spoke about the importance of looking at opportunities in small companies and growing along with the firm. He also said that live projects are very important in the 2nd year of a student’s MBA program. The programme was attended by all the new students, guests, IIFT faculty and staff of Delhi and Kolkata Campus. A total of 419 students have been admitted this year.
IIFT MBA (IB) 2022-24 Batch comprises of students from multiple disciplines like Engineering, Science, Commerce, Humanities, Management, and Pharmacy. This batch has 49% students from non-engineering backgrounds. This year 30% woman are admitted which is healthy gender ratio. The incoming MBA (IB) batch has 58% students with average work experience of 20 months.
