Bridgestone India Invites Applications for 2nd Edition of Mobility Social Impact Awards 2022
Kolkata : Bridgestone India invites applications for the 2nd edition of the prestigious ‘Bridgestone Mobility Social Impact Awards’ 2022. The awards are aimed at identifying, recognizing and promoting sustainable mobility innovations through advanced technologies and solutions for social advancement by not-for-profit organisations.
The three key leading areas for Mobility Social Impact awards are accessible, safe, and smart mobility solutions. The First is Accessible Mobility that gives better access to healthcare & nutrition, livelihoods, education and social inclusion. Secondly, Safe Mobility to boost safety and admittance thereby bridging gender gap, contributing to disaster mitigation and road safety. The third includes Smart Mobility solutions that bring positive social impact, defeating poverty, encouraging biodiversity conservation and rural development.

Winners of 2021:
The Social Impact Foundation was awarded the ‘Mobility Social Impact Award’ last year for their project Asbah, which aims at providing access to clean drinking water to underprivileged communities in both rural and urban slums at a low cost.
Motivation India Bengaluru received the first runner-up award for their project Improving Mobility, which provides smart and safe mobility solutions to Persons with Disabilities.
AICAPD (All India Citizens Alliance for Progress and Development) of Delhi won second runner up for their School initiative Aapke Dwar project, in which the bus acts as school, travels to temporary hutments/ jhuggies usually near construction sites to ensure access to affordable education for migrant workers.
Furthermore, the Samaan Social Development Society Indore was honored with a special recognition award for its Women Mechanic Project, which aims to use mobility as solution towards changing gender norms by promoting livelihood skills among girls and young women in unconventional sector.
