Gannon University: Gannon PA students celebrate White Coat milestone

The White Coat Ceremony for physician assistant students marks a right of passage in medicine.
On Friday, July 15, Gannon PA students celebrated this milestone, receiving their coats as they prepare to move on to clinical rotations. Students complete eight rotations to apply classroom learning to real-world experiences.


According to the AAPA, PAs are licensed clinicians who practice medicine in every specialty and setting. Trusted, rigorously educated and trained healthcare professionals, PAs are dedicated to expanding access to care and transforming health and wellness through patient-centered, team-based medical practice.

Gannon’s physician assistant program has been educating physician assistants for more than 40 years. Our faculty are committed to educating and preparing students to become outstanding health care providers in a meaningful profession.
