DC Srinagar launches Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign
Week long District Level Martial Art Championship thrown open at Indoor Stadium as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav
SRINAGAR : In connection with Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign/IEC activities under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Wednesday inaugurated District Level Martial Art competitions for Boys & Girls in Sqay, Judo, Wushu, Taekwondo & Pencak Silat here at Indoor Staduim, Polo Ground.
The event being conducted under “HAR GHAR Tiranga” campaign was organized by District Youth Services & Sports Department Srinagar in collaboration with District Administration Srinagar.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, who was the Chief Guest, In his speech, congratulated the organizers and participant players for the event.
The DC highlighted the need and importance of celebrating the national initiative of “Azaadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav”. He also briefed the young participants about the significance of observing “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign. He exhorted upon the youth to proudly display the National Flag on the occasion of 75th year celebration of country’s Independence Day. He said when we play for our country we double our efforts and get energized to win for the country and our performance gets enhanced multifold.
The championship will end on 28th of this month and the meritoriously selected players will represent District Srinagar at Higher levels in their respective categories during the current year.
District Youth Services & Sports Officer Srinagar Balbir Singh and other senior officials of the department were present on the occasion.
