AMU conducts B. Tech/ B. Arch, BA LLB and B.Ed entrance tests

 

Aligarh : A total of 7776 candidates out of 9711 applicants wrote the test for admission in B. Tech/ B. Arch courses of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) from 10 am to 1 pm on Sunday, July 31 in six different cities including Aligarh, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Srinagar and Kozhikode.

According to the Controller of Examination, 6467 students including 5173 males and 1294 females applied to appear for the test at 11 different AMU locations at the Aligarh centre.

The university also conducted the entrance tests for admissions in the BA LLB and B.Ed courses from 4 pm to 6 pm on Sunday at 14 AMU venues and in three cities including Aligarh, Kolkata and Kozhikode.

“Out of the 4202 applicants of the BA LLB course, 3665 candidates including 2176 males and 1489 females appeared for the test at the Aligarh centre which also hosted 2733 candidates comprising 1053 males and 1680 females for the B.Ed entrance. The university received 3821 admission applications for the B.Ed test”, stated a university notification.

AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor with other university officials visited various entrance test centres in the university campus.

He appreciated the role of faculty members and other functionaries in conducting the test in a peaceful and orderly manner and extended gratitude to the District Administration for providing the required support.

Senior AMU teachers were deputed as observers at various AMU centres and as overall Incharges at the centres outside Aligarh. NSS volunteers and AMU staff organized camps to host the candidates and their parents.
