US expert delivers lecture on energy efficient air conditioning at JMI

New Delhi: Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) organised a lecture on “Energy Efficient HVAC Strategies” (Heating Ventilation and Airconditioning) on 18 November 2019.

Mr. Daniel H. Nall, P.E. Vice President, Syska Hennessy Group, USA was the
guest speaker. The lecture was organised in association with ASHRAE (India).
Mr. Daniel explained about different innovative approaches to HVAC systems that
demonstrate significant improvements compared to conventional systems.
Professor Emran Khan, HoD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, inaugurated
the program.

The program was organized by Professor M. N. Karimi of Mechanical Engineering
Department, an expert in Refrigeration & Air-conditioning and a member of
ASHRAE(I).

The lecture was attended among others by former President of ASHRAE (India)
Mr K. K. Mitra, industry personnel, faculty members and students of B.Tech,
B.Arch., M.Tech. and PhD.

An interactive session of students with the guest speaker was also held after the
presentation where he answered their queries.
