AMU faculty wins premium award

Aligarh: Dr Mohd Tariq, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University won the 2019 Award for Best Research Paper published in IET Electrical Systems in Transportation Journal. The journal, published by IET Society, UK is a reputed journal in the field of electrified transportation.

Dr Tariq’s paper on ‘Aircraft batteries: current trend towards more electric aircraft’ has been credited by the journal as most cited and most downloaded paper in the relevant field. In his paper, Dr Tariq has discussed the battery design procedure for its use in more electric aircraft. He has also suggested ways for its efficient use in the MEA environment.
