Korea Maritime & Ocean University: MOU with the Human Rights Center of Woori University and the Human Rights Center of Pusan National University to create a culture of gender equality
The Human Rights Center ( Center Director Ji-Woong Lee ) signed a business agreement with Pusan National University Human Rights Center ( Center Director So-Young Cho ) to ‘ guarantee the human rights of university members and create a gender-equal university culture ‘ .
The Human Rights Center is an organization that provides various information on human rights to university members, and plays a role in finding solutions by investigating cases reported and received from prevention of human rights violations and sexual harassment and sexual violence .
At the MOU ceremony held at the Human Rights Center at Pusan National University on the 18th , key officials from both institutions, including Director Lee Ji-woong and Director of the Human Rights Center at Pusan National University, Jo So-young, attended .
According to this MOU, the Human Rights Centers of both universities will cooperate to promote awareness of human rights and gender equality .
The two organizations plan to promote mutual development and friendship by developing human rights and gender equality education and counseling programs, mutual cooperation related to case handling , and cooperation in human and material exchanges . Through these exchanges, we plan to contribute not only to the development of the university, but also to the spread of human rights and gender equality culture in the local community .

Cho So-young, director of the Human Rights Center at Pusan National University , said , “ This is the first business agreement between human rights centers at universities in the Busan area .
