COMEDK – 2022 State Education Body COMEDK Calls For Candidates To Apply To B. Architecture Courses Till 31st August

Bengaluru : Karnataka has been the center of higher education for the last five decades. It has been the most preferred destination for Engineering aspirants because of the choice of colleges, quality of education, and higher employability rate after completion of the course. The state is also looking to branch out into other fields of study while maintaining the same high standards of education.

In line with this, COMEDK has opened Applications for the B. Architecture course, which is available till 31 August 2022* (*Due to the delay in the announcement of JEE Paper 2 results, the last date is subject to change. Candidates should check the latest updates for the last day of application on www.comedk.org).

Eligibility for B. Architecture 2022 course:

Candidates should have passed the 12th Std /2nd PUC/ Equivalent Exam with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or passed the 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

Candidates should have passed an aptitude test in Architecture conducted either by NTA (i.e., JEE) or NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture.

The entire application process is online. Applicants have to register at www.comedk.org. A detailed process guideline on the online applications, Document Verification, and Seat Allotment process has been made available to students on www.comedk.org.

COMEDK, a consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka, is a fair, effective, non-exploitive, and transparent platform to determine the merit of students. Presently about 150 Engineering colleges are affiliated with COMEDK. This also includes over 30 prestigious Architecture colleges.

About COMEDK:

COMEDK is an evaluation test that has been initiated by the Associations of Medical, Dental and Engineering private colleges for merit determination of students who seek admissions to the Member Institution. COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) is a fair, effective, non-exploitive and transparent platform to determine the merit of students. Presently about 150 Engineering colleges, which make available around 20,000 seats, are affiliated to COMEDK and utilize its testing mechanism for effecting admission to the UG Program during the academic year 2022-2023.

COMEDKARES SKILL LABS:

In line with NEP 2020 (National Education Policy), which emphasises skill and interdisciplinary education. COMEDK has started a new initiative, COMEDKARES this year – Many colleges cannot invest in infrastructure and labs. COMEDKARES Skill Labs will bridge this gap, and all member institutions of COMEDK can utilize this facility.

COMEDKARES is establishing 8 advanced skill centers in Karnataka in the following locations (Kalburgi, Belagavi, Mysore, Mangalore, and Bangalore – 4 centres), and each Skill Lab has a plan to support 10 to 12 member institutions.
