‘Contributions of India to Arabic Studies 1900-1950 AD’ seminar on Feb 26, 27

Aligarh: If you are interested in knowing significant contribution of Indians in Arabic studies, then follow deliberations of ‘Contributions of India to Arabic Studies 1900-1950 AD’, a seminar scheduled to take place at the Department of Arabic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) on February 26 and 27, 2020.

Prof M Sami Akhter, Chairman, Department of Arabic added that the seminar will be beneficial to students and researchers keen on learning works of Indian scholars in Arabic language and studies, considered at par with the work of scholars in the Arab world.

“The two-day seminar will be conducted under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Guidelines of the Government of India which will not only discuss the widely accepted work of Indians in Arabic studies, but will also shed light on the deeply rooted connection between two age-old civilizations,” said Prof Masud Anwar Alavi, Coordinator, CAS-II Program and Dean, Faculty of Arts.
