ANDHRA PRADESH CHIEF MINISTER YS JAGAN MOHAN REDDY PARTICIPATES IN ‘GURU PUJOTSAVAM’ PROGRAM IN VIJAYWADA
Vijayawada : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy attended the ‘Guru Pujotsavam’ program at the A Convention Center in Vijayawada, to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. To honor Dr Radhakrishnan’s remarkable approach toward education and students, the CM paid homage to the statue of the renowned scholar and philosopher.
Addressing teaching staff, CM quotes Alexander the great: “I am indebted to my father for living, but to my teacher for living well.” He further added that “Teachers have the power to shape students” future by giving equality educating and nurturing students in competing with the world today. If you look back to the last 3 years of time, we as a government have ensured to bring about revolutionary changes to the education sector with a holistic approach for child’s development. The education department is the only department we have conducted the most reviewed meetings to ensure that special attention is given for the right planning in making the government institutions stronger in the coming years. Furthermore, CM stated that poverty should not interfere with a child’s education, as we strive to ensure children from all walks of life receive quality education and be prepared for a bright future.
Pointing out at how the opposition is attempting to provoke teachers, the CM continued to speak over yellow media, igniting conspiracies to provoke government-led initiatives. “We have spent over Rs 53,000 crores under various education related schemes. Today as state marks as the only state, racing ahead in terms of quality of education, increasing literacy rate, checking dropout rates, and achieving 70 GER in higher education. That also includes from revamping the schools under Nadu Nedu, Jagananna Goru Muddha, English medium, Vidya Kanuka, CBSE, subject teachers Byjus pack, tabs to eight class students, digital classrooms, upgrading teachers’ skills, Vidya Deevena, Vasati Deevena among others” CM YS Jagan.
