‘Swachta Pakhwada’ at Dept of Linguistics

Aligarh: Faculty members, students and non-teaching staff of the Department of Linguistics, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) came together to clean the department premises and the surroundings of vicinity in a drive organised under the Nation-wide, ‘Swachta Pakhwada’ campaign.

“In the Swachta drive, cleanliness activities such as ground cleaning, pruning and trimming of plants and trees and weed removal were carried out”, said Prof M J Warsi (Chairman, Department of Linguistics).

He pressed for widespread citizen participation in Swachta activities and the transformation of Swachh Bharat Mission into a citizen movement.

Senior faculty member, Masood Ali Beg motivated the teachers and students for continuous participation in cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation drives.

Dr Nazreen B Laskar and Dr Abdul Aziz Khan conducted the programme.
