A series of workshops on employability and personality development begins

ALIGARH : The students of Faculty of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University learnt how to achieve the higher level of personality development and grow their employability prospects in the ever increasing competition based job market in India and abroad.

They were provided with the training in soft skills in an “Employability and Personality Development Workshop” organized by the University’s Training and Placement Office (General), which it has started under a series of such workshops planned to be held at different faculties.

Prof. Mohd. Nasir Zamir Qureshi (Dean, Faculty of Commerce), who presided over the inaugural session of the workshop, appreciated the efforts of the TPO and urged the students to attend such programmes with sincerity as these programmes would add to their skills and make them job-ready for the corporate world.

Mohammad Maaz Husain (Incubation Manager, Department of Business Management) and Saad Hameed (TPO-General) were the resource persons.

In his address, Saad Hameed said that the objective of the workshops is to make students aware of the challenges and opportunities in the job market and to enhance their employability by way of developing soft skills in them, including that of group discussion, interview and CV writing. He said that an overwhelming response has been received from the final year students of different faculties, with more than 1500 registrations for these workshops.

Dr. Muzamil Mushtaq (Asst TPO-General and Workshop Coordinator) conducted the proceedings and proposed a vote of thanks.
