DDC Udhampur convenes public outreach cum grievances redressal camp at Latti
UDHAMPUR : To provide governance at the door steps and to ensure timely redress of public grievances, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna today conducted public outreach cum grievances redressal camp under Block Diwas program here at Dak Bunglow Latti of District Udhampur.
BDC Chairman, Darshan Kumar; DDC Councillor, Pinky Devi; Additional District Development Commissioner, Anu Behl; ACD, Ranjit Kotwal; SDM, Kulraj Singh besides other sector and Tehsil level officers of various departments, Sarpanchs, Panchs, prominent citizens and people in large number attended the camp.
During the camp, PRIs and general public of adjoining panchayats projected scores of issues and demands which include establishment of Degree College and KV School at Latti, Blacktopping of road from Mantalai to Bupp, Opening of Ration depot, Appointment of Lady doctor, Up gradation of High School Pachound to Higher Secondary school, Construction foot over bridge, Construction of sports stadium at Latti, Land Compensation etc.
Responding to the demands of representatives of various areas of the Sub-Division the DDC issued on the spot instructions to various officers to look into these issues on priority.
The DDC directed the officers of different departments to organize awareness camps in these areas to inform the general public about various govt. schemes so that they can avail maximum benefits. The DDC also said that the aim of the public outreach drive is to bring the administration to the doorstep of rural areas.
After concluding the public outreach camp, the DDC visited Shiv Gali and inspected the ongoing development and maintenance work of Shiv Gali Latti road also. Executing agencies were directed to gear up men and machinery and complete the maintenance work in a time bound manner so that the public of the area will not suffer any more. The DDC also visited Gandhtop and inspected the recently restored Gandhtop, Dudu road.
