Neuberg Diagnostics launches advanced Oncopathology reference laboratory in Mumbai
Mumbai: Neuberg Diagnostics, one of the top 4 Pathology laboratory chains in India, with more than 150 labs and 2000+ collection centers and having a presence in India, South Africa, UAE, and the USA, launched Neuberg Oncopathology Reference Laboratory, a state-of-the-art second opinion Oncopathology laboratory in Mumbai. The lab was inaugurated by Dr. GSK Velu, Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Sandip Shah, Executive Director, Neuberg Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd., and Dr. Jay Mehta, President & Head, Neuberg Oncopath.
The center will pave way for advanced cancer care diagnosis, with experienced Oncopathologists, and geneticists, and will house all modern technologies & technical infrastructure, to deliver better diagnostic insights to Oncologists across the country and improve the quality of life for cancer patients.
The newly established Neuberg Oncopathology lab, which is located at Vidyavihar, Mumbai, Maharashtra will be headed by Dr. Jay Mehta, President & Head, of Neuberg Oncopath. Dr. Mehta is a senior Surgical Pathologist, specializing in Oncopathology, with over 20 years of clinical experience. He completed his post-graduation from the renowned Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Besides Oncopathology in general, he has a special interest in Lymphomas, Bone marrow pathology, Gastrointestinal tumors, and Soft tissue sarcomas.
He is one of the few Pathologists in India who practices diagnostic molecular pathology and performs a wide array of molecular tests, including next-generation sequencing for solid and liquid tumors. He was the first pathologist in India to start PDL1 testing. He has a special interest in biomarker testing for solid tumors. He is an active and frequent guest speaker and equally adept at talking about solid and liquid tumors to Pathologists & Medical Oncologists alike.
