LPU students were inspired to follow success saga of 125 years’ innovation of Coca Cola which worked deftly to sell 16 drinks per day to now 3.2 billion drinks per day
Jalandhar: AIESEC (International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences) Chapter of Jalandhar and Lovely Professional University (LPU) organized ‘Youth Speak Forum- 2017, at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium, where Corporate, Industry, NGOs, Educational and Media leaders addressed and interacted with thousands of LPU students. Prominent among the speakers were Director Corporate Affairs Coca Cola Mr Chander Mohan Gupta; Regional Director Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development Dr Stanzin Dawg; Founder Chairman of NGO, ‘Tejasvi Astitva’, Mr DN Srivastava; Ted X Speaker on Entrepreneurship Mr Paresh Gupta; and, many more. LPU Director General Er HR Singla & Senior Dean Dr Sanjay Modi welcomed the elite speakers to the campus. AIESEC is the world’s largest youth run organization which is spread in 126 countries to foster leadership in students and people.
Addressing LPU students on “how to leverage internship to face rapid changes”, Director Mr Gupta co-related the success ways of his company Coca Cola with those to be of students’ ways in next phase of their life. Guiding students in simple language, Mr Gupta said: “You all are in guarded and guided environment presently at the vast LPU Campus. When you will go out of the campus in to the real world, your every action will be watched and assessed for right or wrong consequences. The simple will seem complex and complex to become unmanageable more of a time. You will have to be extremely watchful of every action of yours and the challenges posing before you. There are rapid changes in the kinds of products as well as services to be provided. So, each one of you will have to have disruptive mind frame not only to ideate but to innovate also to be mindful of providing the best of facilities to the persons you are concerned. I will suggest you to follow the success saga of 125 years’ innovation of Coca Cola which worked deftly to sell 16 drinks per day to 3.2 billion drinks per day. I think, innovation is every one’s business, if you don’t innovate your ideas, you automatically lag behind.”
Dr Stanzin motivated students on “Unleashing your potential” and asked them to come out with their potential to help the global society. In order to be a winner, he asked students repeatedly to believe in their potential; be creative and to be a leader in every sector. He shared: “If you want to see India as a top country, you ought to be job creators instead of job seekers. You are responsible to shape the country and the global community, make yourself relevant to the market. Kindly think big, dream big and then translate those dreams into reality.” Similar were the inspirations to the students from Mr DN Srivastava, Mr. Paresh Gupta and other motivational speakers. LPU students remained mesmerized throughout the organization and got elaborated answers to their queries during the interactive sessions. On this occasion, LPU students vowed to take India’s Economy to Global-Top by being Job Creators instead of being mere job-seekers.
