Two medical JNMC students bag prize
Aligarh: An MBBS student and a senior resident of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University, bagged first and second prize under the undergraduate and post graduate categories respectively in the National CME on “New Therapeutic Strategies on type 2 diabetes mellitus”.
Faique Rahman, MBBS student of 2018 batch got first prize for poster presentation for his ICMR research work “Nerve Conduction Velocity and its Correlation with Body Fat Mass in Type 2 Diabetes”, under the supervision of Dr Anwar Hasan Siddiqui and Prof Sangeeta Singhal, Chairperson, Dept of Physiology, JNMC, AMU.
Dr Abeer Masood, Senior Resident, Department of Physiology, JNMC, won the second prize for her poster presentation on the “Role of Incretin System and its Approach for treatment of Type 2 diabetes”, under the supervision of Dr Jameel Ahmad (Dept of Pharmacology), and Prof Sangeeta Singhal.
Both, Faique Rahman and Dr Abeer Masood were awarded by the chief guest Mr Ajay Deep Singh (IAS), Commissioner, Aligarh, UP.
Prof Sangeeta Singhal congratulated both the medical students for their success.
