FLAME University announces a new Postgraduate Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation beginning July 2020
Entrepreneurship and Innovation are not a choice but an imperative to build a sustainable future of India in a rapidly changing world. India is aspiring to be a $5 Trillion economy in the next few years. There is also a need to create 300 million jobs by 2040, which is roughly 10 million jobs a year. The aspiration and needs of India cannot just be fulfilled by existing large enterprises alone. We need next-generation high impact entrepreneurs and ventures.
India has begun its journey to become one of the fastest growing startup hubs in the world, and it has third largest start-up ecosystem today. To fulfil the goal to create 10 million jobs per year through startups, India will require the current startup ecosystem to mature rapidly over the next few years.
“India’s next wave of growth will be driven by the increasing number of new age entrepreneurs. From expanding traditional family run businesses to setting up unicorns, the Indian start- up ecosystem has never had it so good. India has no dearth of talent, what we need is to channel their ideas and efforts into ventures that have the potential to grow and generate wealth and employment. We also require people who will combine business goals with a social purpose,” said Prof. Dishan Kamdar, Vice-Chancellor, FLAME University.
FLAME University aims to create next generation of high impact entrepreneurs through its one year Postgraduate Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (PGP EI) and is inviting applications for the intake beginning July 2020.
“The distinctiveness of the program lies in the rigour of its practice component and experiential focus that guides participants from ideation to venture creation. Participants will interact and learn from successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, and investors while the courses will be taught by a portfolio of industry experts and renowned faculty from FLAME University and global schools,” Prof. Kamdar stated.
