AMU faculty honoured

ALIGARH  : Prof. Mohammad Mobin, Department of Applied Chemistry, Aligarh Muslim University has bagged Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) India Chapter Corrosion Awareness Award 2022 under “Meritorious Contribution in Research and Education” in recognition of his invaluable contribution to Corrosion Science and Technology. The award was given during the International Conference and Expo “CORCON 2022”, Asia’s largest conference and exhibition on Corrosion, held at Udaipur during September 19-22, 2022. The award carries a plaque, certificate and honorarium of Rs 51,000.

Prof. Mobin also delivered the keynote lecture and chaired a technical session in the symposium on “Marine Corrosion and Offshore”.

A PhD student, Mrs Farina Ansar, working under the supervision of Prof Mohammad Mobin, also won the best paper award in the symposium under “Young Student Scientist Forum”. She was the part of the group of five scholars from AMU, including two post-doctoral students Dr. Saman Zehra and Dr. Ruby Aslam and three PhD students Mr. Irfan Ahmad, Ms. Huda and herself, who presented papers in the symposium.

Prof. Mohammad Mobin has authored 172 research papers, contributed 29 book chapters and completed 39 research projects including two projects under international collaboration.
