Calligraphy competition held at ABK School
Aligarh: Mohammad Shadab, a student of ABK High School (Boys), Aligarh Muslim University won first prize in an inter-school Arabic Calligraphy competition while Filza Zahid of AMU Girls’ School and Mohd Mahtab Alam of Saiyid Hamid Senior Secondary school shared the second prize. Shabey Noor of AMU Girls’ School got the third prize and Niaz Fatima of ABK School got a consolation prize.
In Urdu calligraphy, Ruqayya from AMU City Girls’ School was judged first while Ramsha Khanam of ABK High School (Girls) and Areeba Haneef of Senior Secondary School-Girls received second and third prizes respectively. Mahdi Fazal of STS School and Kashaf Raza of AMU Girls’ School were given consolation prize.
Congratulating the winners, Dr Mohd Abbas Niazi, Principal, ABK High School said that holding of this competition is aimed at promoting the dying art of calligraphy and create in children an interest for learning this great art.
