Korea Maritime & Ocean University: Held ‘Socheon Scholarship Scholarship Certificate Delivery Ceremony’

The ‘ Socheon Scholarship Scholarship Certificate Delivery Ceremony ‘ was held at the university headquarters on the 7th .



The Socheon Scholarship was established in 1999 by Seok – cheon Kang , the 4th year of the Scholarship Association, and a donation of KRW 300 million for the development of the alma mater and the nurturing of future students . Currently, the interest income is used to pay scholarships every semester .



The ceremony for delivering the scholarship certificate was attended by a number of key officials, including professors such as Do Geun-young, head of the Planning Department, and Kang Hyeon-gu, the second son of Chairman Kang Seok-cheon, director of the scholarship society .



A total of two students are eligible for the Socheon Scholarship for the first semester of 2022 . During the delivery ceremony, a scholarship worth 1 million won each was delivered to two students .



Kang Hyeon-gu, director of the Small Scholarship Association, said , “ Despite the difficult times of the ongoing COVID – 19 , I am delighted that the Small Scholarship has created conditions for students to develop their capabilities . ” said .



Meanwhile, 173 people have received the Socheon Scholarship so far , and the total amount of the scholarship is about 240.36 million won .
