Employability Enhancement and Personality Development Workshop

Aligarh: Students of various courses at the Women’s Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) were groomed to build confidence they need to be in complete charge of their life in formal and informal circumstances in the ‘Employability Enhancement and Personality Development Workshop’ of the General Training and Placement Office that concluded on October 6.

Addressing the participating students, Dr Salma Shaheen (Principal, Women’s Polytechnic) said, “I am sure that experience of this workshop has left the students with an in-depth understanding of various dynamics of personality development that will go a long way to help them enhance employability”.

She also spoke on the importance of soft skills, apprised participants about the upcoming job trends, suggested reading of motivational books and encouraged participants to make the best use of the university facilities.

In the technical sessions, Saad Hameed (General Training and Placement Officer), Dr Zulquarnain (Department of Economics) and Dr Faisal Khan (Electrical Engineering Section, University Polytechnic) stressed on positive attitude, enthusiasm, discipline and good communication skills and provided the participants with useful insights on preparing Curriculum Vitae (CV).

Dr Muzamil Mushtaq (Assistant General Training and Placement Officer) gave the workshop overview.

Amrah Maryam conducted the programme and Tariq Ahmed extended the vote of thanks.

A total of 110 students participated in the workshop.
