Training cum awareness event hosted for members of Cooperatives

POONCH : A one day training cum awareness event under JAN ABHIYAN (B2V4) programme was today held under the guidance of visiting officer Champa Thakur, joint Registrar(Audit) Cooperative Societies Jammu and DDC member Surankote-B in Poonch.

Joint Registrar (Audit) Cooperative Societies, Champa Thakur presided as the chief guest. She enlightened the public about the scope of Cooperatives in district Poonch. She also keenly heard the various challenges associated with cooperative and cooperative societies in the region and ensured about the solutions.

The event was organised by Deputy Registrar, cooperative societies (agri)poonch and attended by Assistant Registrar (Hqr) to deputy Registrar Amit Sharma,AR mandi,salim Malik,AR poonch,mohd Quresh, AR to joint registrar (audit) akhilesh Sharma,all supervisors from blocks and Panchayat Raj Institutions representatives,representatives from allied departments, members of Cooperatives & cooperative societies and the general public.

Speaking on the occasion, deputy registrar cooperatives poonch informed the cooperative members about various aspects of cooperative documentation and record keeping to the newly registered cooperatives.Emphasising the role of entrepreneurship, he further elaborated the various government benefits/schemes like Yuva sahakar/ayushman sahakar for cooperative development and role of forward and backward linkages within cooperative institutions and allied departments.

DDC member Fazalabad -B Sohail Malik welcomed the steps taken by the department for cooperative development and informed the members of Cooperatives and general public about the scope, registration and functioning of the cooperatives and cooperative societies. Stressing the need for cooperation between government and PRI functionaries, he extended full support for all departmental endeavours.

He informed the public about the scope of formation of Cooperatives keeping in view the local resources and demand of the region.
