Awareness camp on BBBP held at Roopnagar- Reasi

REASI : District Hub For Empowerment of women Reasi today organised an awareness camp on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” here in ward No 13 Roopnagar on the direction of District Social Welfare Officer, Dr. Palvi Sharma.

The programme was attended by Supervisor, AWWs, girl students, Rural and Tribal women.

Gender specialists Rita and Surchika highlighted the importance of educating girls. They complimented the participants and said that effective implementation of BBBP for empowering the girls has been tagged as the top most priority of District Administration Reasi.

They also said that various initiatives have been taken by the government for educating and empowering the girl child and bringing them at par with boys in every respect.

Besides, the team also shared the helpline numbers like Women Helpline 181, Child Helpline 1098 with the participants. The team members also explained in detail the women and children centric schemes to the participants.
