B2V4, Round first; Day 01 Doda Visiting Officers reach 76 panchayats of Doda district on day 1 for B2V4

DDC tours various panchayats; Takes stock of implementation of programme

DODA : The first round of fourth phase of the ambitious Back to Village Program started today in District Doda as the first batch of 76 officers reached their allotted Panchayats for carrying out host of activities.

All the scheduled activities were conducted in the villages by visiting officers on the first round of B2V-4. The officers inspected the Government offices, Schools, CSCs, Play Grounds, Anganwadi Centres, Tourist places, Banks etc. They also inspected Amrit Sarovars in their respective Panchayats and interacted with the PRIs and the Public along with official from line departments and educated them about individual and community welfare schemes. They also talked of self employment scheme sponsored by different government organisations/ departments. Besides, many rural assets including Rural Haat and other RDD assets were inaugurated, while Land passbooks, Golden Health Cards and E- Shram cards were distributed among the beneficiaries.

District Development Commissioner, along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom toured in various panchayats, taken up in the first round of B2V4. DDC interacted with visiting officers, PRIs and General public. He also inspected various schools and public assets. He informed the public that this unique initiative of UT administration has a sole motive of bringing administration at the doorsteps of the people. He laid emphasis on the greater public participation in this programme so that administration can assess the aspirations of the people. He also urged the public to help the administration in the fight against drug menace and promoting a healthy lifestyle. He spoke on the importance of cleanliness and Swachhta in protecting our fragile ecosystem/ environment.

As many as 10 Officers deputed by GAD visited the allotted panchayats and conducted the scheduled activities. These officers included Suraj Parkash, Special Secretary to Government in DMRR department, Dr Bharat Bhushan, CEO IWMP, Dr Tahir Firdous, Additional Secretary to Government PDD and others.

It is pertinent to mention here that the officers would stay at their respective villages tonight and for the full day tomorrow.
