Back to Village Phase-IV takes off with fanfare in border district Rajouri
RAJOURI : Back to Village Phase-IV today took off with fanfare in border district Rajouri witnessing multifarious activities across 105 panchayats of the district.
The Government of UT of Jammu and Kashmir after getting an overwhelming response from the public and grand success in the past three phases of the B2V has started its fourth phase across all the districts.
The purpose of the program is to look more closely at the task of empowering, energising and institutionalising the functioning of the PRIs by taking the administration to the doorsteps of the rural masses.
The deputed officers on the opening day of the B2V4 reached the panchayats allotted to them. Scores of activities including inspection of government establishments, AWCs, schools, banks, sports activities, discussion on Nasha Mukt Bharat, conduct of panchayat level convergence meetings, assessment of impact of centrally sponsored schemes etc were carried out on the first day of B2V4.
The designated officers also held interactions with the sarpanches, panches and general public who brought forth a range of genuine and specific grievances and developmental requirements of their areas.
The visiting officers documented all the grievances projected during the day and assured them of the early redressal of their genuine issues and demands.
The frontline workers of different departments present on the occasion replied to the queries raised by the public pertaining to their sectors. The resource persons also educated public about scores of welfare schemes and programs being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.
The public and the PRIs have appreciated the government for continuing B2V saying that such programs enable them to project the developmental needs of their areas before government and their demands are catered in a time bound manner besides, they also appealed to the government to continue to organise such programs in future also.
