‘Back to Village’ Phase- IV: Secretary Cooperative visits Panchayat Kunfer Visiting officers witnessed activities in 48 panchayats

RAMBAN : On first day of the second leg of ambitious ‘Back to Village’ Phase- IV initiative 48 panchayats of four blocks including Ramban, Gandhari, Batote and Rajgarh witnessed activities being undertaken in various panchayats of the district with Visiting Officers conducting public meets, inspections to assess the status of amenities available for the people at grassroots’ level.

Secretary Cooperative, Yasha Mudgal visited Panchayat Kunfer in block Ramban as Visiting Officer and participated in a series of activities conducted by various departments in the area.

Councilor, District Development Council, Ramban, Renuka Katoch, Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma and various senior officers, PRIs and the general public participated in the programmes.

Visiting Officer, Additional Secretary Cooperative Department, Kewal Kumar visited panchayat Chanderkote to assess the status of the developmental process and implementation of beneficiary-oriented schemes as well as the needs of the Panchayat.

Meantime, a joint Gram Sabha meeting for panchayat Chanderkote and Panchyat Kunfer held where both the visiting officers listened to the issues raised by the participants during Ghram Sabha including augmentation of water supply scheme, up-gradation of high School upto Higher Secondary School at Chanderkote, posting of more doctors and paramedical staff in NTPHC Chanderkote, and mainly construction of overhead bridges etc.

Earlier, Secretary Cooperative and Additional Secretary planted saplings in the premises of Government High School Chanderkote besides sensitizing the people about importance of forest and major threats to environment.

Students of Government High School, Chanderkote presented a colorful cultural programme based on various social sector schemes.The Department of Youth Services and Sports also organized Kabaddi, Carom and Chess competitions which were witnessed by the visiting officers along with other dignitaries.

The Additional Secretary also distributed land passbooks and sanction letters worth of Lakhs under PMEGP and other schemes through J&K Bank among the beneficiaries.

Officers also visited various development works in their panchayats.
