Lecture on Sir Syed
ALIGARH : Prof Ashiq Ali, Department of Hindi, Aligarh Muslim University urged the students to make efforts for acquiring good personality traits like honesty, mutual cooperation, ethics and pleasant communication skill, which will help them attain larger successes in life.
He also exhorted them to strive for excelling in education and carrying forward Sir Syed’s educational movement to empower the marginalized and downtrodden with modern and rational knowledge.
He was addressing the students of Syedna Tahir Saifuddin (STS) School, AMU, focusing on ‘Sir Syed and his educational initiatives’.
He said Sir Syed had the vision to see his community achieve excellence in both religion and science. Sir Syed believed that the condition of his community could be improved only by inducing scientific knowledge.
In his presidential remarks, Principal, STS School, Mr. Faisal Nafis urged the students to become a torch bearer of Sir Syed’s legacy of educational revolution in society. Mentioning the names of some successful alumni of the school, he said that young students should emulate their examples of hard work and dedication.
