Korea Maritime & Ocean University: ’77th anniversary of the opening of the school’ Korea Maritime University, “We will continue to do our best to nurture talented people”

The ‘ 77th Anniversary Event ‘ will be held on November 5th to commemorate the university’s anniversary . The event will be held at the University Media Hall on the 4th day before the school’s anniversary .



Since its establishment in 1945 , our university has been playing a role in the development of the Korean maritime industry and fostering excellent human resources . The United Nations (UN) International Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary-General, Ki-taek Lim, has produced numerous personalities .



The commemorative ceremony held on this day will be attended by former presidents and deans , former and current alumni presidents , academic committee members , and award winners , including President Doe Do-Hee .



However, due to the designation of the national mourning period and the continuation of the COVID – 19 situation, the event will be held abbreviated, omitting the celebratory performance stage .



In the future, our university plans to faithfully fulfill its role as a cradle for nurturing marine talents for maritime patriotism .
