Books of MP Prashanta Nanda presented to Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu

New Delhi: Two books, “Chalachitra Purana, History of Odia Films” and “Kharavela- The Great Warrior‘ in Odia and English written by legendary film maker and actor, Rajya Sabha member, Prashanta Nanda, were presented to Vice President, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu at his residence today.

“Chalachitra Purana, History of Odia Films” is about the rise and fall and rise of Odia films from 1936 upto 2014. Since Prashanta Nanda joined the film industry in 1959 as an actor he narrates authentically regarding the journey Odia films. Without touching the historical part Mr. Nanda has described the rise of Kharavela and his bravery has been narrated in the details in the book “Kharavela – The Great Warrior‘ . Wherever history is silent, the writer has created the drama of the story of Kharavela in most interesting way.

Vice President, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu congratulates writer Prashanta Nanda for his brilliant efforts. On this occasion Dr. Bijayananda Singh, Convenor Odia advisory board, Central Sahitya Academy, Dr. Pramod Sar, National Book Trust of India, Banoj Tripathy, publisher Pakhighar, Shivashis Kar publisher, Odisha Book Emporium, Ramesh Mittal , Publisher Lifi Publication were presented .
