Aston University: Aston University promotes its Knowledge Transfer Partnerships with annual networking event

Aston University has brought together KTP associates, company representatives and leading Aston University academics to highlight their knowledge transfer partnership projects at an exclusive event.

KTPs) are an Innovate UK (IUK–KTN)-sponsored collaboration that brings together industry and academic expertise to help companies innovate.

Attended by academics, senior schools’ representatives and the Vice-Chancellor from Aston University, the event provided an opportunity for the associates to network, exhibit and celebrate their achievements and promote the research excellence that their projects have demonstrated.

Bringing together the worlds of research and business, a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a three-way collaboration between a business, an academic partner and a highly qualified researcher, known as a KTP associate.
The UK-wide programme helps businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills, and results suggest that KTPs with Aston University provide a return on investment (ROI) of over 1,100%.

Aston University is a leading KTP provider, ranked third in terms of volume by Innovate UK, the National body. The University has enjoyed many successful collaborative projects in a variety of subject areas, including photonics, optometry, artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, engineering, operations management and many more.
