Prof Abha conferred with Lifetime Achievement Award

Aligarh: Professor Abha Lakshmi Singh (Retd), Department of Geography, Aligarh Muslim University, has been conferred with “Lifetime Achievement Award” for her contributions to Agriculture, Environment and Urban issues under the seal of Centre for Land-use Management, Hyderabad, Telangana on the occasion of 41st Indian Geography Congress held recently at Dr Hari Singh Gaur Central University, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh.

She has held several key posts at departmental, university and national level in academia. She has been the chairperson (1995-98), Department of Geography and Dean, Faculty of Science (2010-11) at AMU. She has been the co-coordinator UGC-DSA (1996-98) and DRS I (2004-09) programmes. She has been nominated as the full member of various commissions of IGU (International Geographical Union), INSA, UGC, ICSSR etc.
