Army starts IT education course for Girls in Banihal
RAMBAN : Sub-Divisional Magistrate Banihal, Zaheer Abass Bhat, along with ARMY officers interacted with the trainees of the ‘Advance Diploma in Computer Application’ course launched by the Indian Army for girl students in Banihal area.
In continuation to its efforts for women’s empowerment, on the occasion of Children’s Day 2022, Indian Army has started an ‘Advance Diploma in Computer Application’ course for girl students of Banihal region. The project has been envisaged in line with Indian Government Campaign of Skill India and Digital India.
As many as 20 girls from Banihal have been selected for this one-year course. The course is a wholesome package that encompasses various computer skills, and basic computer knowledge including Windows Operating System, MS Office, Internet, etc. The students undergoing the said course will have a both practical and theoretical understanding of computers and their uses. All successful students will be awarded the certification of “Advance Diploma in Computer Application”.
The SDM, parents of students, and local Awam appreciated the efforts of the Indian Army to help needy girl students and empower them with computer education which will open avenues for them to become self-reliant. The completion of this course will open opportunities for students in the field of higher education as well as jobs.
