Amity University Students Won First Prize At SUNHACKS 2022 – INTERNATIONAL HACKATHON
Amity University Mumbai’s students shines at SUNHACKS 2022 an international Hackathon organized at Sandip University, Nashik. Students of Amity Schools of Engineering and Technology, won the first prize at the competition. Gaurav Bhanot, Ishan Pandita, Shubham Pawar and Ms. Aishwarya Fungeskar , Semester V, B. Tech Computer Science and Engineering, were part of winning team.
This was the International Hackathon organized by, Sandip University, Nashik on 10th to 12th November 2022. This was a continuous 36 hours event without break to arrive at solution. The Winner Received a Cash Prize of Rs 50,000, Trophy, Certificate and additionally in kind.
Total 250 teams-1200 participants participated in SUNHACKS2022. Out of 250 teams, 5 teams were International team from countries like Russia and South Africa. From ASET-AUM 6 teams participated in the event. This 36-hour continuous hackathon was very challenging to spark their minds and enlighten their way to innovations. The problem statement was Interpreting Doctors notes using Handwriting Recognition and Deep Learning techniques on the theme of Health Care.
The team was felicitated by. Prof (Dr.) A W Santoshkumar, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Mumbai, congratulated the students for this achievement. He also specially thanked all the faculty of computer science department. Director of the ASET Dr. Srikant Charhate said, he is very much proud of the team. He is happy with the performance of the other ASET-AUM team, who gave their hundred percent in the competition.
SUNHACKS-2022 is an international level hackathon organizes to give deserving students a platform to enhance and build something bigger than themselves. SUNHACKS aims to provide all the technical enthusiasts a boost by providing them with the best and most comfortable assets in the form of a 36-hour hackathon.
