Udhampur admin organises Weekly Block Diwas programme at Dudu- Basantgarh

UDHAMPUR : District Development Commissioner Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna today conducted weekly Block Diwas cum grievances redressal camp at Mini Stadium Dudu- Basantgarh and listened to public issues and demands there.

Ashri Devi, DDC Councillor and Kewal Singh Parihar, BDC, Chairman, District and tehsil heads of various departments, besides PRI members and general public of adjoining panchayats participated in the weekly Block diwas. They put forth their issues and demands like Shortage of staff in various government educational and health institutions, Land compensation, Attestation power given to SDM, Basantgath for issuance of live certificate to pensioners, Dilapidated condition of road from Ramnagar to Basantgarh, Opening of new Anganwari Centre at Mung, Paucity of drinking water in many areas, Establishment of new Bank Branch /ATM at Gandhtop area, Additional funds for lifting the dust during rainy season from Gandtop sliding area. Storage of ration, Construction bridge over Nallah Ujh, Replacement of wooden poles, Providing Hostel facility for boys and girls students in HSS, start new bus service for Chakal to Lunga road etc.

During the proceedings, the PRIs and locals raised several issues some of which were resolved on the spot while rests were forwarded to the concerned departments for timely redressal. The DDC urged the officers/ officials of the departments to educate people about the individual beneficiary oriented schemes and appealed to people to take benefit of such schemes that are meant to improve their financial condition.

The event witnessed participation of people and PRI members of different Panchayats throughout the block and apprised the DDC about their grievances and sought early redressal of the same. The DDC asked the officers concerned to mitigate the sufferings of the people on priority and stressed upon the officers to work with dedication and sincerity and redress genuine grievances of the people pertaining to their respective departments at their level within the specified time frame. She also called upon the people to lend a helping hand to officers in speedy execution of development works.

Later, the DDC distributed Kissan Credit Cards among the Farmers at Basantgarh sponsored by Agriculture Department Zone Rasli.
