Weekly Block Diwas: DC Samba holds Public Outreach programme at Bari-Brahmana
SAMBA : As a part of Public Outreach Programme of UT of JK Government, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta, today held a Public Outreach Camp under “Weekly Block Divas” at Block Development Office Bari-Brahmana and listened to the issues and Development aspirations of Public representatives as well as locals.
The Deputy Commissioner, during the block Diwas sought officers to take requisite action on the public grievances noted in the ensuing Block Divas. DC laid emphasis upon maintaining close coordination with PRI members so that public issues are addressed immediately especially related to drinking water, power supply and ration supply.
Among the issues raised on the occasion included non-payment of RDD works, Non completion alloted tendered works, non availability of drinking water, maintenance of power supply, besides other issues including revenue Department, social welfare and others.
Deputy Commissioner listened to the public grievances and directed district officers to take immediate corrective measures including making water tankers available, regular monitoring of power supply. He also assured to take up reiaming grievances at appropriate platforms.
The DC laid emphasis upon expediting the public services delivery through online mode of revenue services including caste certificates, income certificates, domiciles, fards etc.
Later, the DC inspected the Rural Development works including Lane Drain, CFC, and others works in the local panchayats. DC directed executing agencies to adhere to the fixed timelines strictly besides maintaining the quality aspects of the works.
