Governor of Kerala Shri Arif Mohammad Khan Unveils Logo of 3rd Edition of IIMK’s International Conclave on ‘Globalizing Indian Thought’
Kozhikode : The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode led by its Director Prof. Debashis Chatterjee welcomed the Hon’ble Governor of Kerala, Shri Arif Mohammad Khan to the campus, here today. The accomplished statesman and renowned scholar was invited to the Campus to launch the logo of IIMK’s signature International Conclave ‘Globalizing Indian Thought’ – GIT 2022, scheduled for 1st – 3rd December, 2022. Now into its 3rd edition, the International Conclave’s inaugural session was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi in 2020.
The Conclave theme for 2022 centres around the diverse contributions made by India to the world, with a permanent impact. With its overarching theme of globalizing Indian thought, the four centres of excellence at IIM Kozhikode are the highlights of GIT 2022.

Shri Arif Mohammad Khan was on his second visit to the IIMK Campus after officiating as the Chief Guest for the Institute’s 24th Annual Convocation in April 2022. Unveiling the colourful logo symbolic of India’s rich cultural heritage at IIM Kozhikode’s distinct classroom ‘The Gurukul’ he congratulated IIMK for bringing together the brightest minds to the Conclave beginning this week. He added, “India as a country renowned for its knowledge and wisdom has robust foundational values which have withstood the challenges of time. The country’s strength is in the power of people’s minds and its divinity of intellect which has benefitted not only the country but also the world, thus globalizing the Indian Thought in the right earnest, across thousands of years. Diversity, Pluralism, Compassion are India’s civilizational gifts to mankind and the world and remain as eternal values for an ever-changing society.”
Thanking the Hon’ble Governor for gracing the occasion and kick-starting the 3rd edition of IIMK’s International Conclave, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee added “The GIT conclave is the perfect platform for the congregation of academicians and future leaders discussing India’s contribution to the world and how India as a country can re-imagine itself and re-shape worldviews in the current context. This event is poised to be a festival of creative synthesis of ideas which will hopefully define the coming decade and beyond.”
GIT 2022 will also witness a cultural festival as a collaborative association between Ministry of Culture (Govt. of India), SPIC MACAY and IIMK to feature some of the biggest names displaying various hues of India’s cultural richness – Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia (flute), Warsi Brothers (Qawali), Ustad Bahaudin Dagar (Rudra Veena), Vid. S Sowmya (Carnatic Vocals), Sooraj Nambiar (Kudiyatam).
The conclave’s opening address will be given by Shri Gopichand Hinduja, Co-Chairman Hinduja Group on 1st December. Valedictory session will be held on 3rd December.
