CMRIT Celebrated 67th Kannada Rajyotsava
Bengaluru: CMR Institute of Technology celebrated ‘Aisiri 2022 in style on its Campus recently, with a splash of music, dance, and motivating speeches by the staff and students.
The event began with a brief talk by Prof Muralidhara who spoke on the genesis of the present state of Karnataka and the stalwarts who made it happen. A group of staff members rendered Nada Geethe as well as some other patriotic songs followed by energetic dance performances by the students depicting the culture of Karnataka. The chief guests of the event were artists of Kannada’s upcoming movie blink. Along with them, Dr. Sanjay Jain, principal of CMRIT, and Dr. B. Narasimha Murthy, vice principal graced the dais. The campus glowed for Karnataka Rajyotsava with shades of vibrant Red and Yellow. The college was decorated with flags, portraits of eminent Kannadigas, and popular quotes. A cultural program directed by the Department of Kannada, describing the culture of Karnataka and its contribution toward national heritage followed by local art forms like the traditional yakshagana performance lifted the entire atmosphere. The event ended with an amazing dance performance by the cultural team on various music hits followed by a melodious song performed by the college band. Undoubtedly, it was an afternoon well spent celebrating the anniversary of the formation of our beloved state Karnataka.
