Science & Technology Deptt holds Science exhibition at GHSS Tikri

UDHAMPUR : As part of the celebrations of “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav,” Department of Science and Technology Udhampur today organised a Science Exhibition at Government Higher Secondary school Tikri.

BDC Chairperson Tikri, Nisha Sharma was the chief guest while Arvin Koul, Chief Education Officer was the Guest of Honour. They formally inaugurated the science exhibition on the occasion.

Activities like Painting and symposium competition on the topic Ecology and environment protection was also organised by the department.

The program was co-ordinated by Assistant Director Science & Technology, Department Udhampur.

The Chief Guest and other dignitaries also inspected the various live models, charts, paintings and working models prepared by the students of GHSS Tikri and other adjoining schools of the area.

The Students from the adjoining schools also visit the institution and have a close inspection and interaction with the students who have presented their ideas in the shape of Science Models.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest praised the students for this wonderful event and said that they have a great potential and thoughts.

Appreciating the work of students, the CEO said they can lead to a wonderful change in the society if there was proper channelization of the energy of these young minds.

Speaking on the occasion, Slathia conveyed his special thanks to Assistant Director Science and Technology Department Udhampur, all the participating students and their teachers under whose active guidance students presented these wonderful Science Models. Further students will be awarded with Trophies, Cash Prizes and certificates of merit.

Others who were present in function were Capt. Arjun Singh (Sarpanch), Yash Pal Sharma (Sarpanch), Lalita Sharma (Sarpanch) and great social reformer and Industrialist Parshotam Singh Jamwal.
